"I think I will," Penny agreed, joining in on Gen's giggling. "I think she's just too cute not to at least try. I just adore her! Thank you for thinking of me, Gen!" she offered, reaching down to stroke the little kitten. She loved the feel of the soft, warm fur under her fingertips and she smiled down at Dara.
Just then, the kitten started purring softly. "Aww, I promise I won't let Lucky hurt you!" she said softly before looking back up at Gen. "You're right, you must be right. Lucky would never hurt anything, he's such a good boy. Maybe he would like the company, for those times when I go places. He doesn't like being left alone, I know he howls terribly and Mother hates that so much." It made sense, when she thought about it, if it worked, if they got along. "I hope she doesn't mind being away from her siblings," she mused thoughtfully, glancing down once more.
