"I am, too," Abby admitted, setting her teacup back down on the table. She wasn't quite sure of what else to say- she hadn't shared the story for any sort of pity, but she supposed a part of her wanted Rena to understand where she came from a little better. "I'm not sure where I'd be without them."
"I have no doubt that she was," she replied, looking back to Rena. "Just seeing her now- seeing everybody here and all of you-" Abby still couldn't help but view everybody at the inn a little objectively, seeing herself more as an outsider than a part of it all- though that distance was slowly lessening- "there's no doubt that she's been taken care of and loved." Abby couldn't help but laugh softly, shaking her head. "I imagine she gets that open-heartedness from Thomas more than anybody."
