Rena nodded, smiling slightly. "It's okay, we all have our moments," Rena mused. It seemed the recent events had made them all a bit more reflective, if for different reasons. It made Rena wonder for the thousandth time if she shouldn't at least attempt to write to her family, to make sure they were okay. Her mother had never even attempted to relate to her as Abby tried to relate to Bridget but she couldn't help but wonder if she had gone through the same thing when she had vanished.
Abby's thanks caught Rena off guard and it took her a moment to respond. "I... It was the least I could do," she finally replied softly. "If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have had a job. I had nothing. She made me so happy. So you don't need to thank me."
