"I don't know what I would have done without my horse!" Rena replied honestly. While the horse had been, technically speaking, stolen from her parents when she ran away, it had been an integral part of her escape plan, an escape plan that she wondered how she had pulled off, looking back at how crazy and unplanned it had been. One thing was certain though: without the horse, she wouldn't have made it. "But then, I've never even seen the sea before. I've heard it's like nothing else, going on as far as the eye can see, but it's hard to imagine," she admitted.
When Molly began rearranging the table, she noticed for the first time that amid the array of papers and writing implements there was, in fact, a meal, one that sat untouched and more than likely quite cold.
"Oh, you've not eaten yet? You must be famished!" Rena exclaimed. "Though you're right about the fire. One of the best reasons to come out and sit at this time of night is you can always get the best seats!"
