Julius was surprised by the apparently sudden change in the man's demeanor, but he nodded at the belated explanation. "That explains your offer a bit better," he replied with a smile. "I'll certainly mention it to Genevieve- my wife- in case she does have particulars in mind." He slipped the paper into his coat pocket, then continued, "I'm a farrier by trade- of course, I certainly know that sailors don't always take kindly to horses, but if you're in need of any such services, I'd be happy to lend my talents."
