A market trip was long overdue for Julius, who was running low on the various sorts of construction supplies he'd been using in fixing up his and Genevieve's house. There was still much to be done, of course- and it would likely take some time before he was truly pleased with the work- but he at least wanted to make some more progress before the weather turned toward the winter months. And so he'd stabled Zephira at the pub (arranging to meet Genevieve there for dinner), and had spent most of the morning in shops and negotiating with merchants- he didn't have a lot of money to throw around, but in the end, he seemed satisfied with what he'd been able to buy.
He hadn't quite realized that he was in anyone's way until the unfamiliar voice greeted him, and Julius glanced down- then quickly stepped to the side as he realized who it was (or, at least, his apparent station). "Apologies, sir," he said, offering a polite nod.
