"Thank you," he said, taking a seat at the table. Though Gabrielle's home was spacious it still held a certain warmth that he had always enjoyed. He felt quite at ease there. Moving a hand through his hair he pushed it aside, out of his eyes, and smiled at her inquiries.
"A few months, at least," he said, rolling the strings on his doublet between his index finger and thumb. He chuckled, "Yes, I'm hoping I will be able to help find a cure. Though the outlook is rather bleak isn't it. A great number of their knights - and ours - have gone out to find a cure, but have been unsuccessful." It was disappointing the way that these humans failed time after time, though he doubted he could do much himself. Even the largest of texts didn't hold much to go off of.
Another laugh pushed itself out and away, "Well that's good news! You're doing well enough that you can expand. Very encouraging." Vaan was very fond of her teas and was exceptionally pleased that her business was thriving. He chuckled, "Come now, reading is most certainly not boring and the castle is anything but glamorous." Vaan gave her an easy smile, "Just a bunch of stuffy old suits bumbling about telling people what to do." He didn't mind being at the castle, he just preferred being out around folk who didn't care whether or not their sugar was refined. "Besides, I like it much better out here with everyone else," he said nodding.
