"Oh, I do hope you take lessons from Cook! Then you would have to come back and visit!" Penny exclaimed, though even she was slightly embarrassed at how such a simple thing as the prospect of seeing her sister excited her that much. Things had grown less interesting for her, indeed! Penny considered her sister's position and imagined that if Gen was so enthusiastic about it all, truly it couldn't be that bad, especially if Julius was there to help.
When Gen called Penny out on her surprise, she could only blush. "I'm sorry, it's only that it is such a change, I wasn't sure how it would be," she admitted somewhat sheepishly. "It isn't that I didn't want you to be happy because I do but I was worried, you know I worry." Penny wrung her hands, hoping her sister wouldn't be upset by her uncertainty. "I am very glad that things are working well," she added sincerely, "even if I do miss you and the excitement you brought to this place. Mostly I get my excitement by going out and about these days," she said in a hushed tone, which certainly did mark a change for Penny, who had always been content to stay indoors.
