“You…Really?” Somehow, in all the scenarios that she’d played out in his head, it was never this easy. “I can do that. I helped out a bit back home, just when the ships were in and they were short on help.” Then what he said about not getting into fights with the patrons sunk in. Well, she always knew she’d have to learn to mind her temper someday. And really, wasn’t that what she was doing away from home anyway?
She could have just left it there, but that wouldn’t really have been the full truth. Even on her best behavior, Molly knew that there were some things she just wouldn't stand for. Normally, Molly wasn’t a big fan of whole truths, but it felt wrong to lie to his man - even if it was by omission. He was being nice enough to offer her a job and all. “As long as the patrons keep their hands mostly to themselves, that won’t be a problem either. But I won’t be pushed into anything.” Remembering some rowdier days, Molly felt the qualifier should be there. This didn’t have the look of that kind of a place, but still. And as long as the customers didn’t start anything like that, she would manage to mind her manners.
