It was relief when Abby smiled, the expression reserved but it was something, certainly the first Rena had ever been granted, though it was gone as quickly as it had come.
But she had a point. Neither of them seemed to know what to do, how to interact with the other and Rena imagined that wasn't going to magically go away. Things were, admittedly, awkward and uncomfortable for both of them but neither one of them had really done anything to change that.
Rena paused and the strange mood of the evening seemed to take hold of her again. "I suppose we could start this over," she shrugged. She rose to her feet, a bit of amusement in her eyes as she dipped into a slight but graceful curtsy, a strange sort of gesture from Rena, who was inclined to clumsiness, not grace. "Good evening," she offered. "My name is Rena Summers. It is wonderful to meet you."
