Penny joined her sister in laughter, the cheerfulness quite infectious, especially to one such as Penny. "Oh, he gave me his name last time we met and I was so distracted that I very rudely missed it and then I was too embarrassed to ask him for it again. Isn't it terrible? I could hardly believe it!" she exclaimed, laughing at her own silliness. "It is such a relief to know it now!"
The change in Gen's behavior was obvious, certainly far too obvious to ignore. "Enough about that," Penny insisted, knowing her own tale was far less exciting than the dramatic tale of love and adventure that she and her sister had crafted together and made true. Certainly the whole thing was dramatic as one of Gen's tales; Penny could hardly believe it was playing out before her. "I want to hear what has become of you and why you're shining like the noontime sun!" Penny rarely demanded a thing of anyone but in her excitement, her exclamation was as near to a demand as the youngest Brisbois could possibly manage.
