The morning had passed the same as always for one Germaine Brisbois. He'd awoken early, had breakfast in the dining room, and then made his way to his office- he was more than sure that his wife would have words for him later regarding the situation with their daughters, but for now he'd take sanctuary in his study.
He had finished the household ledgers for the day, and was reading the morning paper when he heard the knock on his door. He looked up, admittedly rather hoping it wasn't his wife (though he'd never admit that aloud), then took a sip of his morning tea, setting it back down and looking back to his newspaper with a sigh. "Enter."
