Genevieve gasped again as he pulled her back, and was more than just a little surprised as she found herself pinned between Julius and the stable wall. She had enough sense not to cry out, and was more than tempted to knee him right where it would hurt the most, but then he was speaking and she couldn't keep the tears from sliding down her cheeks.
She was relieved to hear that even with his disappearing act, Julius hadn't done anything so foolish that she wouldn't be able to forgive him. She nodded, slowly, then looked down, away- nearly anywhere but directly at him. "So let's go. Or- I don't know. Do something. I don't want the life my mother has planned for me, you know that. I want you." Her words were selfish, she knew, but they began to tumble out without her really stopping to think about what she was saying. "Let's just get married, before anybody can stop us. Or- anything, Jules, just- let's go..."
