"I know you didn't." Gen turned her head to look back to Penny, her hand finding her sister's. "I can't imagine anybody- not with him. And certainly not with a name like Spebbington!"
"I hope you do find a man with a nice name. A good man, who will treat you the way you deserve, Penny. You should be happy." She smiled and gave Penny's hand a light squeeze.
"You'll have all of that, I'm sure. You'll find the right man- I just know you will!" Gen smiled. "No, I can't imagine mother ever thought I'd turn out quite how I have. I think she'd prefer if I were more like you, or perhaps even Bernard. Just..more of a girl than he is." Her thoughts turned toward marriage and she looked back up toward the ceiling. She knew which name she wished for, but wasn't sure if she dared speak it aloud just yet.
