"Well that's good since I shan't let you share a birthday with anyone else," Penny grinned, wrapping her arms around her twin in an affectionate hug. "Oh, no doubt she'll be in rare form," Penny sighed, not wanting to imagine how upset her mother was going to be and unsure at who she was going to be upset at. Well, that would be tomorrow's problem. Now, she was growing sleepy and sharing the last moments of her birthday with her sister.
Penny shifted her position to lay on her back, staring up at the canopy above them. "Didn't it though? I always imagined myself to be so grown up at twenty. I don't know that I feel terribly grown up." She turned her head back in Gen's direction, her expression turning impish once again. "I'd rather be unwed than be Mrs. Spebbington though," she offered, giggling once more.
