Penny nodded slightly, faintly aware that her sister was commending her, and that thought brought a sheepish smile to the younger twin's face. "Thank you," she murmured, her eyes darting down modestly. It was difficult to accept the praise though it meant a great deal, particularly coming from Gen. "I appreciate it," she added sincerely, knowing that for Gen to offer to sew anything, she must feel truly grateful; generally, it was Penny who was the one inclined to sewing.
Penny did laugh at Gen's sudden concern, laughing through the ridiculous emotion tears. Momentarily unable to speak, she nodded her head furiously. "Just... overwhelmed," she finally managed, attempting to find a word to describe the rush of emotion she felt. "Honestly, I'm fine. At least I think I am, I don't even know!" She laughed as she said it, laughed as more tears slid down her cheeks.
It was good that a furious Bernard had dragged Spebbington off to their parents because Penny imagined neither man would know how to react to her behavior. Indeed, Penny wasn't sure how to react to her own behavior!
