It had been an odd time for Julius, since that night with Gen. Not that he wasn't happy about the outcome- far from it!- but it just caused a rather drastic shift in how he looked at things. Things that had once seemed impossible dreams now seemed at least slightly plausible, even if they were likely far off. Still, it was a nice adjustment.
He wasn't surprised when he noticed Genevieve across the lawn with a basket in hand- she had lessons that morning, he knew, and she usually came to see him afterward, wanting an escape from, well, everything else. An escape that Julius was more than happy to help with. It wasn't long before he finished the work he'd been doing with the young horse and stabled her again before slipping away to join Genevieve. He didn't knock on the door- he'd always rather thought of this as a place just for them, so what need was there to knock?- instead he just opened it and slipped inside.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are..." he called, playfully, once the door shut behind him.
