It was obvious from the way the girl drew back that Morgana hadn't quite thought out the bright light in her lantern. She took the opportunity of Arachne stumbling back and squinting to dim the light just a bit, trusting that the girl would just assume her eyes had adjusted.
Of course she had expected that the stitch witch would be able to guess the origin of her fabric, but it had been a test in a way; she would have reassessed her opinion of the girl if she hadn't known Zhongguoan silk from Bharatan. "You are absolutely correct, my dear girl." The Queen furrowed her brow and frowned at the sight of Arachne's dirty fingers, keeping her expression to one of concern and not disgust. "But darling, it is not right that someone such as yourself, with such knowledge and skill, should be living out here in the woods such as this. I would ask you to tell me how you came to be here, if you were willing to tell it." She paused, tilting her head just slightly to peer at the girl. "But first, would you like something to eat? It is nothing much, but I have a small meal packed for the journey and you need it more than I."
