Rowan didn't hear Ethan approach and didn't even notice that there was anyone else there until he spoke. He jumped and turned, more because he'd been startled than out of fear of what he'd heard and the strange, violent looking man standing before him. He tipped his head at the wolf consideringly before smiling guilelessly.
"Oh, hi! My name's Rowan, who are you? Hey, what's that?" he suddenly noticed the dark wet smears over Ethan's clothes, not really able to see the red completely but seeing enough (and smelling that raw meat smell) to guess what it was - or to leap to conclusions over what it was anyway. "Oh, hey, that's blood, you're bleeding, hey, you've got blood all over you, are you bleeding, where are you hurt?" he asked, firing questions rapidly as though Ethan was someone he loved and cared about and not a total stranger who'd literally just stalked him through the forest. His hands came up like he wanted to touch but didn't, worried about hurting the other's imagined injuries. "Hey, you should sit down!" He said, worried and earnest and not giving Ethan room to get a word in edgewise.
