Pipp continued to chew on his cookie cake as she asked her question about the song. He glanced up at the ceiling as well, as if the music was magically floating in the air. Then he grinned again as he swallowed his food and recalled what the song was. This was a classic!
"Oh, I'm not sure what a scrub is in the human world most of the time. I think it is supposed to be some sort of sponge that you scrub things with." He wrinkled his nose and raised an eyebrow, listening to the lyrics for a moment.
"But in this song," He started, reaching for another slice of his cookie cake. "These young ladies are singing about how fair and beautiful they are, and how they will not settle for the courtship of males who are inferior to them, both in class, character, and in financial security." He explained that in the most simple terms he could think of, especially for a faerie who was new to the mortal world. "So. In this song, a 'scrub," refers to that sort of male, I suppose."
