Who: Insley Friel and Kaliope Morgan. When: Decembet 15th, early afternoon. Where: Between the Lines Books. What: Kaliope has questions. She always has questions. Insley has answers. And a cat. Rating: Low. Status: In progress.
Insley Friel leaned against the counter, slightly curled his notepad, where he was jotting down various notes about books he was trying to track down for different clients. He had a computer, of course, and used it, but sometimes he liked to just jot things down with a pen and on paper.
The internet was pretty great for locating hard to find books though.
Next to them on the counter was a large and fluffy orange cat. Sasha was curled up, a paw over his nose, mostly asleep, with his feather-duster tail flicking idly and slowly. Every so often, Insley would reach over and pat the cat, who spent as much time in the shop as he did up in Insley's flat above the place.
Between the Lines was crowded with books. Tall and long heavy long shelves took up the bulk of the place, stuffed with books of all shapes and sizes and ages. Most were used, hard to find, out of print or rare books. There were a few plush chairs scattered around for people to curl up and flip through a book with, and in the back, hidden from human eyes under glamour, was a section of books on or written by faeries.
The small bells above the door jangled softly, and Insley looked up. Nudging his glasses further up his nose, he watched a familiar head of pink hair attached to a pint sized girl walk in. "Kaliope," he greeted the sylph with many questions. "What can I do for you today? I still don't know why humans can't make a microwave that cooks things all the way through." It was a good question though.
