Back in her usual body, Thalassa reclined in the cushions beside one of the many low-standing tables laden with food, watching people come and go without much expression her face. She felt lazy and redolent, not interested in moving. She had sweets in one hand and fruits in the other; what reason had she to ever get up? Naturally, that was when she noticed Trevor doing his best not to be noticed. A smile, just as lazy as she was feeling, moved across her lips and she rose from the cushions. "Trevor," she said, approaching him and reaching out to touch his shoulder. "You look weary." He did. He probably hadn't appreciated the King's screwing with them. "Come, eat with me. I have it on good authority that you can have mortal food, provided you can imagine it. And you don't even have to try very hard." The Palace was particularly useful like that. It probably reached into a body's head and simply plucked out the information it needed. She wouldn't be surprised. |
