2 x Cordelia Chase drabbles
These are the last of the Cordelia Chase drabbles for today. I managed to get eight drabbles for my claim at 100moods completed so I am very pleased about that.
Title: Sleepy Afternoon Author:aaronlisa Rating: FR13 Pairing/Characters: Cordelia Chase, Angel, baby!Connor Disclaimer:Angel belongs to Joss Whedon and company. Prompts: 100moods @ LJ – content, goddess_loki’s prompt of naptime with Baby Connor. Notes: Set during Season Three. Summary: She wonders how she got to be so lazy.
There used to be a time when Cordelia felt the need to fill every waking moment with something to do. Ever since Connor came into their lives, that’s changed though. She delights in the moments that she gets to spend with Connor and Angel where they are just together, even if they’re doing nothing but napping together. It fills her with a sense of contentment and belonging that she doesn’t think she’s ever felt before. Angel is on Connor’s right side and she’s on his left side and as she raises her head slightly to look at Angel she sees his face full of peace. She sighs as she snuggles closer to the baby and she’s content with the world in that moment.

Title: Window Shopping Author:aaronlisa Rating: FR13 Pairing/Characters: Cordelia Chase Disclaimer:Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer belong to Joss Whedon and company. Prompts: 100moods @ LJ – chipper Notes: Set during Season One of Angel Summary: She used to hate window-shopping but now that she’s poor she enjoys it.
When she had been rich, Cordelia hated window-shopping, as far as she was concerned it was a complete waste of time. Why window-shop when you could buy whatever you wanted when you wanted it. Now that she’s poor, window-shopping has become fun. It’s enjoyable to see what she would have purchased when she was rich. Or when she regains her fortune through her talent as an actress. She also takes great delight in being rude to the snobby sales women at the stores she goes to. Cordelia will try on outfit after outfit only to reject them all and tell them she’d rather go to some little boutique than be caught dead with something from the store she’s in.
She doesn’t tell Angel or Doyle what she does when she sneaks out of the office early. It’s her guilty little pleasure that makes her feel happy when she’s had a bad day at the office or has failed at another audition. If window-shopping makes her sound chipper when she answers the phones at Angel Investigations, she doesn’t think that Angel will judge her poorly because of it. But part of her still feels like it’s a little silly pretending to be someone she’s not, so she keeps it a secret.
