WHO: Julian and Emma. WHAT: She's trying to make him feel better about the situation they're in. WHEN: Now / After school. WHERE: Trailer park. RATING: G.
“I’m not pregnant!” Emma snapped at a group of girls that came up to her, her hand pushing her hair from her face which by now had started to turn a little bit red with just how angry and embarrassed she was. How Sophia could betray her like that she’d never understand. They were supposed to be friends, best friends. What best friend spread rumors about you and worse, about you being pregnant! Not only did she do that, but she refused to accept that she was wrong and just persisted in holding up the lie. It was humiliating. Worse, it was going to ruin her relationship with Julian.
Yes, she and Cam were ‘dating’, but it wasn’t real. It was just a cover for her and Julian so people wouldn’t suspect anything was off and would stop questioning her about her mystery boyfriend. But that wasn’t how things were turning out. Instead of them just being like any other couple, they were now mixed up in this ridiculous rumor and she had no way of proving otherwise. It wasn’t like her taking a pregnancy test was going to fix it. She’d just get told ‘yeah right’.
Well…maybe one would help with Julian?
Honestly, she didn’t know what to do. He said he wanted to believe her, not that he did and that hurt. How could he not believe her? How could he think that she would cheat on him after everything she’d done and risked by giving him information? Why would she have done that if she was just going to jump ship?
Emma found herself slamming her locker shut before she turned and stormed out of the school and headed for her car. Half way into the parking lot she ran into Cam and once more she was left reassuring him, quietly of course, that she would be fine. She was safe and she trusted Julian completely. While he might be mad and might even be a bit more aggressive and verbal, the worst she expected was to be yelled at while he gave her that angry broody look he got whenever things with Cam came up or he saw them together.
Hopefully this would all be better once she moved, and she and Cam could admit it was fake or ‘break up’ so they could be with other people, or namely, so she could finally be with Julian without worrying about what would happen outside of school. Or at least she hoped it would. She’d had a crush on Julian for what felt like forever. She didn’t want to lose him now that she finally had him over this. It wasn’t worth it to her. If she had to….well what would she do if she had to?
Emma finally got into her car and drove away from the school. It took her a little while because she took a very long and scenic route to make sure no one was following her. But eventually she made it to the trailer park, never having actually driven there herself. So, it took her a few moments to find his trailer. She usually didn’t have to because she was paying attention to him rather than where they were going. Luckily she’d paid attention the last time when Cam dropped her off.
Once she was out of the car, she turned to see a few of the Phantoms were out hanging out in the nice weather. But she saw the way they looked at her and she glared back. “I’m not fucking pregnant.” She snapped knowing they were probably feeling protective of Julian since he was one of their own and well….she wasn’t. Yes, she’d fed them information, but she was still a viper. So, she doubted they would believe her, but it was the truth, she wasn’t pregnant. And if she was it would have been to Julian since he was her first and only partner. But they were safe, and she had birth control! So, she knew she wasn’t pregnant!
Emma didn’t knock, but she didn’t think she needed to since he knew she was coming. Instead she let herself inside and set her backpack down on a chair in the dining area. “Jules,” she said upon seeing him. “It’s not true.” Emma approached him and lifted a hand, trailing it down his cheek before she leaned up and gave him a peck. “I’ve only ever been with you, you know that. She’s lying.”
