Ten companies have pulled their advertising or stated that they will not renew their contracts with Sacramento, CA radio station KRXQ following their morning show radio segment where two of the hosts made offensive comments against transgendered children.

It's good to see this happen. I've been following that case for a few days and it's appalling and frightening.

I especially hate how the two DJs who were making the comments keep trying to say that they'd never advocate child abuse and it was just a joke... if they'd been saying those things about any other group of children (disabled kids, Jewish kids, kids with chronic illnesses) there's be no question that it was in terrible taste.

*nods* It would be clear-cut then. No doubt. And it is here as well, some people just don't get that. Yet.
