Everything was beginning to blur. There was a mass of information being thrown at him, and while Castiel could keep up with it on a normal day, the presence of Anna seemed to be slowing him down.
Anna's being here was not a negative thing, however. Having her here before Heaven had the chance to alter her mind was in fact a very good thing. But she knew. She remembered. She said over the network of this place that he was forgiven, but it didn't seem right to end it there. Castiel knew now that there had been another version of himself here somehow, and while he didn't know what his other self had done, said, or anything of the like... he felt the need to say more.
Which was why, after taking the time to see the train's layout briefly (an excuse to think more), he allowed himself to walk to Anna's room. He didn't need to walkâit wasted time and was unnecessary when he could simply be there in an instant, but this was a moment unlike any other he had ever experienced. He would be seeing her again, Anna. The one whom he'd looked up to all his life, the one he betrayed, and the one who was killed because of what his betrayal did to her.
Standing outside her door awkwardly, looking at her name etched upon it, Castiel remained in place for a long moment. Emotions were making their way through him, calmly, but more than he'd felt at one time in a long while. Guilt, regret, happiness, uncertainty, hope, fear, and a little bit of doubt. Was it truly that simple for Anna to forgive him? Would he be capable of such had their positions been reversed? Not that they ever would, as Anna was the one who tried to inspire his rebellion, to ho against the status quo of Heaven. But still...
Castiel blinked once, twice, then a third time before teleporting into her room as he would normally. He'd had his time to think and he didn't need any more.
"Anna," he began as he saw her, her vessel's red hair standing out first to him before he looked her in the eyes and nodded slightly to her. "It's good to see you again."
