Summary: Lily Luna has breakfast and ponders
Status: --
Lily had stayed up late the night before playing games in the entertainment room and chatting with one of the other passengers, so it was little wonder she'd slept in past group breakfast time. She'd prodded through the leftovers, but even heating things in the microwave had seemed like too much work, so she'd settled instead for a bowl of cereal. Settled at one of the round tables, she'd scrolled through the device while eating. She wanted to see if anyone new of note had shown up and posted, or ... run into someone who would have posted for them. Honestly, it was well past time her other brother or her cousins showed up. Or her mum, but she'd want her mum to be the proper age, and not her own age. It was ... interesting to have her father here, granted, but weird. Sometimes she just needed a hug from her father, and the boy on the train wasn't her father. Not yet. So it wasn't the same. She couldn't even go to her Uncle for that, either, because the situation was the same there. Then there was the whole matter of keeping the future to herself, and mostly it seemed easier not to get into conversations with them because she'd end up talking about her cousins, then having to explain whose kids they were. So mostly she dodged her mis-aged family. Except for her grandmother. Somehow, that was different. It was fascinating to meet the woman she'd been named after, and her grandmother never seemed to mind all the questions she came up with. Upon finding nothing of real interest on the network (aside from Dorny apparently going off to frolic with the cows), Lily set the device aside and focused on her cereal while watching the hills roll by. The day outside was grey, but that seemed to be par for the course for this reality. It was kind of dull, really. Which made her wonder what sort of plans she should invent for the day. Maybe she'd con Al into hopping off the train with her. Or maybe she'd go find Sirius and introduce herself to him. He was sort of neutral ground as far as relations went, since he wasn't actually a blood relative. Either way, she was sure she'd figure something out. |
