CHARACTERS: Meredith Grey & Peter Petrelli
WHEN: Backdated a few days
LOCATION: A coffee shop at on Water Street
WARNINGS: None
SUMMARY: Coffee with Meredith!
STATUS: Closed, in progress
Meredith's invite for coffee was somewhat unexpected on Peter's end, but the more he thought about it, the more he realised there wasn't any harm in it. Why not make more friend? Why not pretend to be normal for a change? There wasn't anyone here who knew any better, no one who knew what kind of a man he had become. It could be like going back in time, letting himself be ignorant of the world he'd come from and what was going to become of it if his past self didn't succeed in what he needed to do.
Being in New York City again brought some of those old memories back. He'd walk past an alley that he remembered being chased through in the past. He'd see a building that he'd killed a dozen men in. He also saw no sign of Charles Deveaux's building. And if there was one place he wanted to go to collect his thoughts... it was there. He wanted to remember Simone, to think of truly better times where he actually was a better man. A stupid, naïve man, but a good one.
Coffee would do well though, and Meredith had so far been very kind to him. She'd be good company. So with a bit of a smile, Peter ducked out of the coffee shop he'd found, made sure no one was looking, then teleported to just outside Meredith's room in the train. His illusion to cover up his scar was still up, as he'd warned her about via the train's network—he just hoped she'd be all right with that and some of the other things he could do. If he was lucky, she'd take it as smoothly as Marian did and they might be able to find a few laughs throughout the next hour or so.
With that hope in mind, he knocked on her door and waited patiently.
