Slender shoulders rose and fell in a shrug. "Depends on who you ask," she admitted. "Most days, even I'm pretty sure it's just a mechanized, computerized train that's just following some flawed programming. Some days I'm pretty sure it's out to get me because it overheard me wishing for things not to happen.
"We don't ... really know though. Not for sure. It could just be some really fucked up coincidences, if you're inclined to believe things just happen at random. Still, it makes me feel better to think it can hear me cussing it out."
She did grin a little at Amy's take on the situation. "At least there's that. It's better than showing up alone, or with your arch nemesis on board, or ... you know. Having someone you love be here and then sent away. That's happened often enough for me to think the train really likes screwing with couples."
Her head canted, and she realized she probably had Amy at an advantage. "I'm Jaime," she introduced herself. "We ... chatted on the network." She was pretty sure, anyway. She tended to reply to most new network posts, if they pertained at all.
