Piper hated high school more than anything and just wanted the years to be over with. Prue was the popular girl, Phoebe wasn’t in high school yet but she was known as a fun girl along with popular. Piper was the outcast of the family. People were always picking on her, giving her a hard time, and the only time people were nice to her was when Prue hung around Piper. It was rare, but no one would dare pick on the middle Halliwell sister when the oldest was around. Piper hated how she couldn’t find a place to fit in or how she would change who she was to fit in, but always fail. Her two sisters had no idea what Piper went through at school and she found helping Grams in the kitchen was the only place she found that she could relax. Up in her room studying a small smile slipped over her lips when Grams came in. She could tell something was up with the little girl and wanted to know what was up as she sat down next to Piper. “Just the usual with being picked on and called names,” Piper told her Grams as the older woman pulled Piper close to her. “Don’t let them get to you because you’re special.” A snort slipped out at that comment, “I’m not special, Grams.” Grams tapped her on her nose before kissing the younger girl on the top of her head, “You’re very special, Piper. One day you’ll see that you’re a very special girl. High school seems like the end of the world right now, but when you’re finished with it you’ll see that you’re special. You’re smart, beautiful, and you’ll do great things with your life, hun.” Moving off the bed her Grams kissed her on the top of her head before leaving as Piper decided to call it a night. Grams was trying to help, but Piper didn’t believe any of that was true. Closing her eyes she went to sleep. The next morning when she woke up, Piper looked around quickly as this wasn’t her bedroom at the manor. Moving quickly out of the bed, she almost tripped over her pant legs as they were longer than her legs. What the heck? Looking around, she saw stuff that didn’t even look like hers. A baby blanket that had blue like it was for a boy so that wasn’t hers, turning around some more she saw this old book that she had only seen once in her life. Grams had it in her hands as she told Piper to go play while she brought the book into the attic. How did it get here? Piper and her sisters were never allowed to touch it, but right now no one was around as she moved over to the book. “The Book of Shadows. What kind of book is that?” She asked, shaking her head as she opened it up to see some weird writing. Confused, she flipped through the old pages to see nothing on them expect for the first page. Closing the book, she couldn’t figure out why Grams had a book like that but right now she had to find her way back home. Exiting the weird room, she became even more confused at which way she should go. Picking one way she started to head in that direction, “Grams? Prue? Phoebe? Anyone?” She called out slowly as if afraid a bad person was going to jump out at her. Did someone break into the second story in the middle of the night and take her? No, that was stupid! Entering into a car that looked like a library her eyes widened at the sight of all the books, paying attention more to that instead of anyone around her that she walked right into a person. “I’m so sorry,” Piper said softly as she waited for the normal watch it freak or something along those lines. |
