With the need for all those coats and boots liable to show up at any time, Kaylee decided it was a smart idea to enjoy what was left of the bright, spring-time weather in the open-air car while it was still here. Didn't take a genius to assume they weren't going to be getting a whole lot of warm weather, unless .. mayhap the train decided to play about, have them rug up only to land in the middle of a hot wasteland? As she wandered in, Kaylee thought this was a car you noticed a difference immediately when you walked. So she smiled to herself; the warm air, the smell of green country – the sheep and goats, well they were pretty distinct smelling too, but not so overpowering and she'd grown up around enough farm animals not to be disturbed by it. As she took a seat, Kaylee watched the scenery pass by her, the fields spotted with sheep – some kinds she hadn't seen before. Ones with black faces, others that had weird sort of long curly wool. The train itself was sort of peaceful at the moment, their were weird plants doing – weird things to folk, that wasn't so kind. She'd even heard of it influencing emotions too, talk of it as such throughout the train. Wasn't just plants that were turning up either, folks had found warm wintery coats and boots too – the sort you'd pull on to keep the warmth in. Wasn't a stretch to guess they might just be Perhaps the cold would bring snow along too? There was no telling, but at most Kaylee could hope snow. They'd had snow before and it still excited Kaylee. It wasn't common to her, simply wasn't a normal weather pattern on her world, not by any means. Nor most of the worlds Serenity took them. It was still a novelty and something to enjoy to her, so as livening as a bright sunny day was, with their warm winter coats meant perhaps they'd actually get time to go out in the cold instead of just having to watch it roll by? With her gaze idly on the fields passing by, Kaylee took a bite out of the apple she'd brought along with her, supply runs in China meant fresh food was in surplus at the moment, fresh fruit especially. Kaylee was one to take full advantage of that. |
