Another Lazy Evening
Characters: Ice, Gale
When: Saturday evening
Location: their room
Warnings/Rating: TbD; will update if needed
Summary: Ice and Gale chat, and stuff
Status: Closed, ongoing
Ice had spent the day engaging in her usual activities -- or what were becoming usual for her. She'd worked out, she'd danced, she'd showered, eaten, and read for a little while. She'd sought out some of the people she liked to talk to if they were available to chat, and eventually, after dinner, she'd returned to the room she shared with Gale. After a quick glance around to see if he was in or not -- calling a hello if he was -- Ice moved to the dresser where she began to unbraid her hair. Despite encouragement among Peacekeepers to keep short hair, Ice never had. She kept it bound, kept it up, but she'd also kept it long. After her months on the train without it being cut, it fell to her hips. Once she'd undone her hair, she picked up her hair brush to start smoothing it out. While she did that, her eyes drifted to the window to see if the scenery had changed. It hadn't, but she didn't think she was surprised; she'd passed by a couple of plants on her way back to the room, and if nothing else, events seemed to sync with scenery changes. She wondered about the appearance of coats, and it made her think she should go check the baggage car. If Lily was right, if the coats belonged to them, hers would be easy enough to spot. She only really owned one -- a Peacekeeper issue one for when they had to go to the colder districts in winter. Once she'd brushed her hair smooth, she replaited it, tying off the end with a hair elastic. Setting her brush down, she smiled slightly to her reflection. |
