Regina had been staying inside her room to avoid the trains latest shenanigans. From what little she'd read on the network the affects of the plants while not lasting long varied. As amusing as it would be to physically witness someone suddenly sprouting leaves she had no intention of succumbing to the affects herself. Her room had remained plant free since it began and for that she was quite happy. Despite residing in solitude since Claudia's departure, she'd made an effort to have ice cream with Henry. The request sent her way had shocked her. Though he tolerated her and seemed to accept that she still cared about him she knew that he'd rather remain with Emma Swan. It had been the reason why he'd gone all the way to Boston in the first place. That and to bring about the end to her curse. The thought of which still brought pangs of sadness into her heart. No matter what anyone thought of her she did truly love her son. He was the only one since Daniel that she could say with any certainty that she did love. And if having ice cream was what her son wanted than that he would have, despite how unhealthy of a snack it was. When days went by and she'd received no messages from Emma Swan she wondered if in fact the woman was still on board. Henry had carefully avoided mentioning his birth mother when they'd had ice cream. A skill he'd probably learned to adapt as mentioning the blonde had a tendency to irritate her. She contemplated sending a message to the younger woman to inquire whether she was there or not but decided against it. Why should she care if Emma Swan was still on board. The woman had been a thorn in her side from the moment that they had met. A threat to the curse as well as her relationship with Henry. Forced her hand in bringing about Graham's death. It irked her to no end that Graham, the huntsman, seemed to have fallen for the savior. A situation that had not seemed to disappear with both on the train. She'd gathered that the two had been spending quite a bit of time together behind closed doors. Her anger just boiled at the thought. Had she checked the network during the day she might have known that Emma was still around. But avoidance of the network unless she was moved to respond was in the cards. Her brief discussion with Charming gave her hope that her magic would return. Regina really hated the vulnerable feeling of not having her magic to defend herself and use against her enemies. As she sat on her bed she had a spontaneous thought. Before she could stop herself she had left her room and was moving through the train to Emma's room. Standing in front of the door with Emma's name she knocked and then waited with one hand resting on her waist. It didn't cross her mind that this wasn't going to end well. The few times they'd managed to randomly run in to one another had always ending with one of them storming out to keep from hitting the other. Just as she was deciding to turn and head back to her room to avoid the confrontation Regina heard movement from the other side of the door. |
