The Gravity of the Situation

Jaime wasn't sure if she liked the constant lack of gravity better or not. It was at least consistent whereas stepping from a perfectly gravity-filled car into one that lacked it was ... well, inconsistent. She passed two such cars on her way from her room to the baggage car. Both times, she'd used her magic to get passed it, only wondering after she'd arrived why she hadn't just apparated. She just ... wasn't used to doing it on the train. While the baggage car had been organized once upon a time, the shopping ventures in China had left it a mess again. There were things in bags, things with tags, extra water and beer in haphazard stacks around the car. She wondered if anyone was going to make an attempt to organize it, and as she thought of their slowly dwindling list of passengers, she realized most of the people who might have taken the reins on that were probably gone. Or busy floating. Jaime's lips pursed slightly as she reasoned the whole floating thing had probably impacted this car as well. Why not? It was hitting everywhere else. So even if she did organize it ... it was just going to get shot all to hell the next time the gravity cut out in this car anyway. Well, why not? She had some time to kill. She wasn't tired, and as far as she knew, Ray was reading -- so she should leave him to his peace while they had it. With a dramatic flair (despite the lack of audience), Jaime rolled up her sleeves before she pulled out her wand. She'd organize it, sure, but she wasn't going to do it manually. Not when she could just levitate things around. And that is exactly what she set about doing. |
