This really was a perfect nightmare. She felt like a yo-yo, torn forever between whether she should stay on the train or stay in this reality. She was running out of time to decide, too. With Harry and James gone, it had seemed an easier choice to stay off the train, but with Sirius just arriving ... it seemed cruel to abandon him since James wasn't here. "You are out to get me, aren't you?" She muttered to the train as she rifled through the bags of newly purchased clothing to see if she could find something Sirius' size. It wouldn't be the most fashionable attire, granted, but it would be something other than what he'd been wearing in prison. She recalled the first time she'd seen a version of him from Azkaban, and she shook her head at the memories. He was the one who'd simply ... blurted it out. What had happened. At least she already knew, now, and she realized she'd be the one telling him stories. Finding a fairly nice pair of loose trousers and a couple of shirts, Lily stopped by Jaime and Ray's room. She felt weird rifling through Jaime's drawer, and then sad when she realized it ... wasn't exactly Jaime's drawer anymore. She took a picture of the wands and sent it to Jaime so she could identify the good ones, and after her response, she took a crooked blackwood stick -- wand -- from the drawer and added it to the clothing. She took a moment longer to look around the room, feeling a horrific pang of sorrow at the idea she wouldn't see the pair of them again, but she didn't think she could stay behind in good conscience with Sirius here now. Shaking her head, she retreated from the room to continue across the hall to Sirius'. For a moment, she gazed up at the names on the door, and she shook her head slightly before lifting a hand to knock. |
