From the moment Bruce had looked up to the train’s ceiling, the first day of his arrival, Bruce knew things were about to get ugly. Either he had really blown himself into another plane of existence, like one of Loki’s interdimensional pathways for example, or he’d blown himself unconscious and the Hulk was currently roaming around the Tower. His options weren’t very good, but Bruce was a man of science and the science of his predictions was apt. As it turned out, Bruce was right, and though the first option wasn’t the exact reality of the situation, Bruce still counted it as truth. Because there he was on semi-sentient, all-ridiculous proof of multidimensional theory (which he and Tony had had quite the conversation on, but Bruce didn’t think many other people find it as fascinating as they did to discuss the topic) trapped against his will in what amounted to only a glorified tin-can to the Other Guy. To make matters worse, they were boxed in even more as they traveled through a deep, underground cavern. It was quite the understatement to say that Bruce wasn’t feeling as calm as he should have been. Of course talking to Tony helped tremendously, that was actually one of the reasons he’d decided to move in with him and Pepper in the first place, but there was still that borderline overwhelming, green-eyed rage haze that Bruce had to keep a lid on, else everyone on the train were going to be in extreme danger. Honestly that was one of the main reasons Bruce had decided to help Rogue with her... problem? Bruce wasn’t exactly sure of the implications in that, but he’d seen quite a bit of pretty odd things, he was certain he was prepared to at least try to be of some assistance. There was no way he was going to walk away without trying all that was in his power, there was nothing worse than being telling someone you can help them, only to turn around and let them down. So, Bruce didn’t waste any time setting up a time to meet with Rogue and had traveled the few cars to her room the next day. With a light, purposeful knock Bruce waited outside the door. |
