Finally a decent stop! That was the best thing ever at the moment in Trish’s mind considering she wanted off this train. The idea of having Logan get rid of her ring for her wasn’t one she wanted to have done because this was her job. Since arriving here, she had been enjoying the ability to get off the train without the worry of anything bad happening to her and speaking to some of the people. Who knew driving her sister crazy with another language would come in handy at some point? Where she wasn’t able to understand everything, she knew enough to get by and she was a quick learner. Trish wanted to wait on getting rid of her ring to make sure it was really what she wanted to do since once she sold it then that was it. Could she really part with the ring? Henry didn’t come from money like her, but he bought her the prettiest ring that she had ever seen. No, this had to be done and today was the day. No more avoiding it or thinking about it cause she would end up chickening out then the ring would stick around. Trish kept checking up on Abby, but she was also giving the woman space until she was ready to talk or needed something. Trish knew how she had been at first since she wanted to avoid everyone in fear of someone turning on her and even now she still had some thoughts about someone turning on her. The nightmares were probably going on for Abby like they still were for Trish. Every night she kept seeing the murder of herself or her father along with a few others that she had to watch happen right in front of her. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath to calm herself. Trish wouldn’t let Abby do this alone like she had, but she had to be careful since Abby was probably a wreck as she saw Trish’s dead body. Even though she knew deep down she was dead to hear it confirmed hurt more than she realized. To know that Abby had found Trish dead in her wedding dress was heartbreaking. As much as she wanted to know more, Trish couldn’t push for information until she was ready. Waking up early, she went about getting ready before moving over to the dresser where she kept the ring so she didn’t have to look at it. Trish opened the draw, pulling it out as she looked it over. A small smile slipped over her lips at the memory when Henry gave her this ring before shaking her head. Trish had to be strong and she had to move on or at least try to move on from everything that had happened. She would never forget, but she could try to move on from everything, start over, and find a new place to call home. For a brief period of time, she thought about staying in China, but she couldn’t do that. No, she would hope for a better world soon and maybe make that her new home. Heading off the train with her ring, she knew where she was heading since she saw the place while walking around. Maybe with the money she got from the ring, she would do some shopping or go out to a club or go half for shopping and half for something fun. Right now that wasn’t important as she found where she had been heading. With a smile, she approached the man, but then moved like she wasn’t even looking at going to him. Could she really do this? Before it was all thoughts and plans. Now that she could really get rid of the ring, she felt……sick. Yeah, that was one word to describe how she was feeling. Pulling the ring out of her pocket, she looked at the item in her hand, wanting to cry. Trish should have been on her honeymoon with the man that she was in love with. They should have been married in front of the people that mattered to them only she knew she was dead cause of him. He probably sent John Wakefield to their cabin to get her only she had been quick to escape. Glancing at her hand, she could see where the ring had been, knowing she had to get rid of this ring. Running her fingers through her dark hair, she tried to calm herself before she made herself sick. Her father was right not to trust Henry even if she didn’t enjoy him having her ex, Hunter show up on the Island. That jerk and her broke up for a reason, but she should have listened to him. While glancing at the ring, she thought about all the good times with Henry even back when they met as kids. He seemed like such a great guy that she couldn’t figure out where everything went wrong. How did someone go from the sweet guy that made her laugh to a killer? All she wanted to do was cry, but she had to do this before she chickened out then she could go back to cry. After a few moments, she moved back over to the man. Trish had to be careful with her words as she tried to talk with the words that she knew. Her knowledge of the language was decent enough to say certain things and she was doing pretty well on talking to the man. Once they came to an agreement, she took one last look at the ring in her hand before handing it over to the man. Trish couldn’t believe how hard it was to let go of the ring, but she finally did. This was for the best, right? Yes, it had to be because she wouldn’t be able to work on moving on until she got rid of the only thing she owned that was from him. Taking the money from the man, she smiled before thanking him and made her way back to the train. It was weird to know that the ring was gone and she would never see it again, but she knew it was for the best. Trish slipped the money into her pocket as she headed back to the train, figuring she could decide on the train what she wanted to do. All she knew was that this could be a new beginning for her since she had nothing item wise to remind her of Henry expect the memories and the cut on her side. All those would be things that she would deal with, but she could move on in terms of items since she didn’t need the ring anymore. This was all for the best as she kept telling herself and in the end giving up her ring was probably the best move she could do. Trish just had to hope it was true that with everything would get better. Before she was going to head off to shop, but she wanted to go back to her room and cry since all she kept thinking about was Henry. Was it wrong of her to sell the ring? Maybe some would think so, but no one knew what hell she had gone through or even knew about the ring expect Logan and Abby, which she was sure the two of them would understand why she did it. Entering the train once again, she kept her head down so no one could tell how upset she was as she went back to her room, closing the door behind her. The train sent her roommate back, which was great cause once the door was close she broke down into tears. Moving over to her bed, she curled up with her pillow as she cried, pulling the pillow closer to her body as if that would make everything all better. |
