If there was one thing about this situation both she and Jaime could agree on, it was that everyone would have been better off if Jaime had never told her what she knew. Jaime had been remarkably subdued, and Lily was fairly certain the girl had actually gone off the train at least a couple of times, despite the risk. Lily harbored no delusions she could set this right. In fact, she was fairly certain that any sort of confrontation was bound to make this situation even worse. Though really, with everything else going on on the train, what was a little more drama to add to it? Dead people were still showing up left and right, and now ... now Severus was here. Severus, but not James. She had to wonder, ridiculous as it was, if the train was somehow out to get her. Either way, they couldn't avoid one another forever. She at least wanted to talk to him and see if she should make a point of steering clear of him, or if there was some chance they could have a civil conversation and perhaps find some sort of truce. With that in mind, and a spine full of determination, Lily made her way through the cars on the train to see if she could find him. She had no problem at all going into Jaime and Jake's room and knocking on the suite door if he was staying in there, but she hoped to encounter him sometime before that. Though ... a more private setting might be more conducive to actual conversation. Either way. She was going to find him, and plunge into some sort of awkward discussion which was no doubt going to end badly, regardless of whichever way it went, and then ... see where they stood and go from there. |
