It troubled Sookie to see her oldest friend so traumatised, not to mention that she felt all kinds of responsible as it was her that had persuaded Pam to turn her. Well, not this her but the other version - the version Sookie was beginning to loath. She didn't understand her, or her choices, and didn't like that she was left picking up the pieces of her mess! Right now she couldn't give a damn about the other vampires from her world, it was Tara she needed to help, and she'd made her a promise she intended to keep. She walked back to the room she shared with her husband, frowning deeply as she thought long and hard about the conversation to come. Although she was fairly sure Eric accepted Pam as his progeny, Sookie wasn't so sure he'd accept Tara - particularly as his opinion on the matter hadn't been sought. Their fights over Miriam had been hard-fought, and though the experience had helped Sookie and Pam bond, it had also shown that Eric was incredibly choosy about who he thought worthy to turn. Sookie let herself in, and proffered a smile to her husband, who was sprawled over the sofa reading. "Hey," she bent to kiss his cheek, in affectionate greeting. "I need to talk to you about Tara," Sookie told him as she sat down beside him, lifting his leg and slipping underneath it so as not to disturb his repose. "Although we know that Pam turned her, she's denying her, which means Tara's pretty much all alone here - a fledgling vampire with no guidance," she knew she was laying it on a little thick, but it was kinda required. "I told her that if we couldn't get Pam to see sense, we'd look out for her. Even though she's not from our world," Sookie said with a sigh and a shrug of her shoulders, "she's still my best friend. I can't abandon her." |
