"It is the 1100s when I am from. We do not have machines such as this, nor even trains," Marian explained, some of her displeasure dissipating when he seemed to back off a little bit. She was very touchy about men trying to make moves on her and Guy had made it worse. She was glad she hadn't run into his twin yet, and she wanted to go for as long as possible without running into him.
The curtsey attempt made her smile against her better judgement and Marian nodded. "It was a good try. It is very formal, not exactly exciting," she replied, but at least they were making an effort. She could appreciate that. "I'm...it's nothing. Thank you for your concern though." She offered him what she hoped as a reassuring smile.
