To Sing a Song
Characters: Ice, Ray
When: Monday, dinnertime
Location: Front dining car
Warnings/Rating: None anticipated
Summary: Ice sings a song she doesn't mean
Status: Complete
Heading down to dinner, the last thing on her mind was the songs. She was mostly considering what Gale was up to, and what the other from her world were getting into. Mostly Clove though. She knew the girl a little better than she'd implied, and part of her was a little surprised she hadn't heard about any unprovoked attacks yet. Maybe someone had managed to put a leash on her, or maybe she just hadn't settled in enough yet to be truly dangerous. Maybe things wouldn't go that way, but Ice wasn't going to count on it. As it was, she kept a close eye on the girl. Or as close as she could, without completely giving away the fact she was watching her. Once she had her food from the kitchen, Ice looked around for a familiar face to eat with. The last time Ice had really chatted with Ray had been some time ago, when she was still trying to settle in. Since they, they hadn't talked much -- swapping pleasantries when they crossed paths, but otherwise not really engaging much with one another. Still, he was someone she felt comfortable enough to approach to share a table with, and so she started that direction. She really had just meant to ask if she could sit with him, but what actually crossed her lips was something else entirely. "It's time to face what this love has done to me, I can’t escape, only your love can save me. You’re the only one who matters, and the only one for me, Now I’m lonelier than ever only your love can save me. I’ve wanted this forever, but I want you all for me, You can put me back together, only your love can save me. Each day I’m in hell, everyone can tell by the look on my face, Not one day goes by that I don’t wonder why don’t believe its fate. It's time to face what this love has done to me, I can’t escape, only your love can save me." Ice cocked her head, her pale eyes wide as she regarded Ray. "Sorry," she managed after a moment, though she remained standing awkwardly in front of his table, a heated blush coloring her cheeks. |
