John was settling into the train well enough. If he thought too much about it, he started to go stir crazy so he just ... tried to pretend that he was on some wacky vacation, where the invisible conductor occasionally decided to fuck with everyone. The singing was amusing, but again, only when he didn't think too much about the implications it had about the ability for the train to control them. Without any plans for the rest of the day, he'd been pleased when Ashley messaged him. He had found a gun (and ammunition) in the baggage car and claimed it for himself, hoping he never had a cause to actually use it. He'd noticed there were a fair amount of people who knew each other here and while there were some ... disagreements ... on the network, as far as he could see, no one was out and out trying to kill anyone else. So maybe the train liked to be the only one to shake things up and he didn't have to worry too much about someone with a grudge from his past arriving. Even so, he'd enjoyed Ashley's company and wasn't going to turn down the chance to hang out. He'd tucked his gun into his pants -- since walking through the train with a gun in his hand seemed like asking for trouble -- and made his way towards the end of the train, still amused by the end of their conversations. Curiously, he wondered just how many pictures of herself she had like that. If Ashley was already at the car when he reached it, he grinned and said hello. If not, he would open and close the door a few times to see if anything fun turned up on the other side. |
