Who: Glinda Upland and Percy Weasley Where: The Parlor Car When: Monday Morning What: Two magical users from different worlds walk into a bar... Status: Closed/Complete; Dice!
With all the talk and rumors of babies going missing, or being taken, Glinda should have been worried about leaving young Jonathan Shadowhunter alone in her room. She wasn't, though. Her roommate seemed competent enough should anything dire happen, but that was not what allowed her to wander the train worry-free. With the user of her own magic and spells, she had encased the small baby in a protective bubble, barely visible to the naked eye, and hung an enchanted mirror near the child to allow her to keep an eye on him as well.
The compact that was linked to the mirror was snapped shut and placed in the small, pink handbag that Glinda had brought with her when she arrived on the train. As much as she had made a fuss over the small child, it was refreshing to step away for a bit. She hadn't done nearly as much socializing as she should have been doing since her arrival. Between the dreaded zombie stop prior to their current position, and now the children, Glinda had been a mixture of terrified and overwhelmed.
The Parlor car seemed empty as she headed inside. She could appreciate the ornate pieces of furniture and made a beeline for the small loveseat with the pristine, white upholstery. Taking a seat, she gave a light bounce before getting to work.
The purse sat beside her, the enchanted compact sat on the wooden coffee table in front of her and the glass wand that she carried rested gingerly in her lap in the layers of pink satin and tulle. Just because she was here and no longer on her way to the Emerald City didn't mean that she could slack off on her magic. Glinda was hardly the studious sort, but here apparently had been great expectations for her to succeed both at Shiz University, and in her life. Her fingertips just barely touching, a swirling orb of color hovered just above her palms. It didn't appear to be forming anything specific, but the colors were vibrant. Reds like poppies, lush greens, rich purples; they swirled and formed a variety of images and pictures. Perhaps memories from her home back in the Uplands and back in Oz.
