It had been nearly a week now since his argument with Alec and Magnus was starting to lose his mind. He hadn’t so much as seen his boyfriend in days and the only contact they’d had was a brief network post in which Alec had informed him rather curtly that he’d gone to stay in his sister’s room. As much as he didn’t want to, Magnus had decided to just let things lie for a while. He’d give Alec some time to cool off and reconnect with his sister and then the Shadowhunter would come around. By the time Thursday night rolled around however, Magnus was still waiting on that last part. He was starting to lose his patience. His cabin had been too quiet lately. At first he reveled in the privacy and ot having to listen to the baby they’d been randomly gifted with cry and fuss at all hours of the night. But as the week wore on in silence, Magnus found that he’d actually almost started to miss it. Almost. He missed a lot of other things too. The sound of Alec’s voice, the smell of his clothes, his presence in bed beside him at night. Their confrontation had played over again in his head numerous times, as did the one with Will, and both were weighing on heavily Magnus’ mind. Between that and the boredom of being stuck alone in his room, on a train, Magnus was in danger of driving himself crazy. There were only so many times that he could play with the color of his walls or rearrange his limited furniture to keep himself entertained. At any rate, this needed to stop. Magnus knew that he needed to let his own anger go and take the initiative to show Alec how much he really did care. He needed to rectify whatever it was that had gone wrong between them. With a renewed resolve, Magnus head down the hallway to the room that Isabelle was staying in, hoping that Alec would still be there. With sharp rap on the door, Magnus waited impatiently for Isabelle to answer the door. “Hello lovely Isabelle, now get out,” he said the instant she pulled open the door. Just as she was about to open her pretty little indignant mouth to protest, Magnus held up a hand to stop her. “I need to speak with your brother, we have things to discuss,” he continued resolutely, eyes glancing over her head to find Alec sitting on the bed and looking rather surprised. Regardless, it was rather clear from both his tone and his posture that Magnus was not going to take no for an answer. |
