Characters: Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman When: Sometime around midnight (Thursday) Location: Observation car Warnings/Rating: A dead body and blood? Summary: It's Sook's turn to find a body, but Eric's barely left her side since this whole thing began. He's along for the ride. Status: Closed, in-progress
They were simply walking back from the dining car. To vampires, human food looked and smelled dead. Many were even repulsed by it, but Eric had never cared. Obviously, it wasn't his style, but he sat across the table from Sookie regardless. It seemed rude to have her dine alone, and even if that weren't the case, he would have been with her anyway. So long as Sookie was within his presence, she was safe. He would die first, if need be. He afforded very few people that honour.
He walked behind her, arms behind his back, acknowledging whomever passed them with a casual stare. A lot of people tended to skirt around them - it worked well for patrols and so far, only Sookie's little circle of new friends seemed immune to it. Especially the angel and the demon, but then again, they were both entertaining. Enough.
Then it occurred to him he had no fucking idea what day it was. "Is it our patrol again?" he asked. "You'll have to forgive me, and no, I am not blaming it on vampire business..."
He didn't want to blame it on age alone. Or the simple fact that he didn't actually care that people were dying. When it came to that, he was only concerned with Sookie remaining alive.
