Once she had finished the conversation with Finnick, Katniss turned off the bigger rectangle and tucked it away. Maybe it would have been easier to carry around the smaller rectangle, but that was laying in bits and pieces on her dresser. Since the thing always repaired itself, she didn't see why she couldn't keep finding new ways of destroying it. And, anyway, she didn't want to keep it on her when it wouldn't stop beeping at her in the first place. Most of the technology on the train still confused her. When Finnick had contacted her, she was tucked away on the library car. Books? Books were easy to understand. It was a place where she could sit in quiet and remain relatively undisturbed. It was a bit of a walk from it to the front parlor car, but she could use the exercise. This whole not being able to get off the train thing was driving her slowly insane. Once she got to the parlor, Katniss dropped her bow and sheath onto the floor next to a loveseat and sank down, waiting for the Capitol's favored victor to arrive. Maybe Finnick could shed some light on the situation with Peeta and her supposed future. |
