Since her vampiric transformation Abby had revelled in everything warm and human. If she thought about it, even now, the cold-hearted creature she'd become sent shivers down her spine, and scared her to her very core. If Connor hadn't been there for her every step of the way she might not have come back from that place. In Abby's world she associated all things warm and wonderful with her amazing fiance, and they were currently indulging themselves in many human activities - like finding out just how many bubbles it took to fill the show. With them in it! Soapy, slippery fun that had them in fits of giggles. Eventually they ran out of bubbly things to experiment with, and happy and tired the two tumbled out of the shower and into snuggley, warm robes. Abby slipped her arms around Connor's neck and kissed him deeply, "I love you so much," she'd told him more times than she cared mention, but meant it more every time. If someone had told her five years ago that she'd feel so much for a man she would have laughed, but here she was, and her heart felt full to bursting point. "What was that?" a tiny sound caught Abby's attention, and there it was again. Coming from their room. "Did we leave the door open?" she asked curiously, as she slid her hand into his and moved to open the door. What greeted her was the last thing she'd ever expected! "Connor, why is there a crib at the bottom of our bed?" she asked as she looked up at him in confusion. Did the train know something they didn't? Abby wondered once more if there was a new Temple-person lurking inside, just waiting for the perfect time to surprise her with a kick. Was that a...gurgle? Still keeping hold of Connor's hand she moved closer, until she could just peek over the edge of the crib. Inside, the tiny human had similar ideas, and just as they'd get a full view of the cot a head popped out. Abby looked at Connor wide eyed, wondering where in the world this person had materialized from. It looked up at the two and put out it's tiny arms and with a plaintive wail yelled, "Maaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaa!!" Abby's eyes returned to Connor's, "it's not mine! I didn't do it," she told him unnecessarily, because the child was clearly of Asian origin. "What are we going to do with it?" |
