Characters: Loki Laufeyson & Jane Foster
When: Monday afternoon
Location: A house half a mile or so from the train
Warnings/Rating: Low, sarcasm, awesomeness
Summary: Loki goes to rescue Jane because Thor.
Status: Closed/Ongoing

Loki knew he could have just sat back and ignored Jane, let her be consumed by zombies and thought nothing less of it. But his loyalty to his brother and the knowledge that, should Thor appear again, Loki wouldn't be able to look him in the eye knowing he'd left Jane to die. It didn't help that he really didn't know where Jane was. Luckily, though, Loki was a god. And Loki could fly.

A closet in a house was not much to go on, but the shrill screaming of the woman was a big give away and it was easy enough to find her then. Oh, how he wished he had some kind of weapon, a staff or something else. But he'd have to go for boring old conjuring. He landed in the middle of the room, materialising out of nowhere and turning to look at Jane and then the zombies, vicious bastards he would take pleasure in killing for pleasures sake as much as for necessity.

"Ms. Foster. How lovely to see you again," he grinned, clapping his hands together and casting a bolt of fire at the zombies lumbering towards them.

She didn't know what had possessed her to leave the train. She had known the dangers out there but she was curious to explore. She hadn't seen any zombies as she made her way through the street until she had turned the corner and ran into a pack of them. As she ran away from them, she wasn't paying much attention to where she was going but she had approached an abandoned house, finding the door unlocked and she went in and found a hiding spot. Jane's plan was to call for help or wait for the zombies to leave. Jane was relieved when her plea for help was answered but she didn't have a chance to respond as the zombies had located her and had pulled her out into the room.

After a struggle, Jane was able to fend off the attack of one zombie but there were many more in the room. As she backed up towards the wall, she gasped as Loki suddenly appeared in front of her, relief filling her.

"I'm sure I'm happier to see you than you are to see me." Jane joked with a nervous smile, backing up some more as the zombies lumbered closer to them, watching as Loki conjured a bolt of fire simply by clapping his hands.

"Be careful Loki. There are a lot of them."

"Oh, I don't know about that," Loki replied, rolling his shoulders. He'd tried fire, his next attack was ice, a wave of his hand freezing the next few zombies that advanced.

In all honesty he could just grab Jane and teleport away, but there was no fun in that, and Loki had a lot of frustration he needed to vent. "Keep behind me, okay? Don't worry, I got this-" he winked at Jane over his shoulder, another flick of his wrist fashioning him a rather fancy looking blade of ice, the cold barely making an impact on his hand as he swung it, one long, powerful stroke taking the heads from another line, dirty blood splashing over the walls.

"So, what are you doing out here?" he asked over his shoulder again, casual, as though they were simply out for a walk. He sliced the head off of one and then another zombie before backing up, swinging his blade at the now slightly apprehensive creatures.

Jane watched in awe as Loki defended himself against the zombies.

Nodding at Loki's order to keep behind him, she moved so her back was up against the wall. That way, she only had to worry about what was in front of her and not behind her.

Jane smiled softly as Loki winked at her and reassured her that he got this. She was amazed that he was being so calm about this situation and talking to her as though he wasn't decapitating multiple zombies. How was he able to stay so calm?

"Um....I wanted to stretch my legs and explore a bit. Probably not my best idea." She laughed nervously. She could add that to the list of bad ideas she had and decisions she had made. "I have a tendency to jump without looking."

"It is something you and my brother have in common, then," Loki said, flicking his wrist and producing another long, slender blade. He passed it back to Jane. "For you, just in case."

He sliced through another row, but they were becoming less and less, some of them backing off.

"You make a good couple. Jumping without looking-" Another died. Then another. "Hot headed and careless." He laughed almost happily, breathing heavily as zombie corpses twitched on the floor at his feet. "I suppose I will be in charge of ensuring your safety until my brother returns to us. Now, how are you with flying?"

Jane took the blade from Loki, holding it carefully. The zombies were becoming less and less and thankfully, Jane wouldn't have to use it.

"It's an occupational hazard of mine, I suppose." She laughed gently. "My friend, Erik says that my curiosity is going to be the end of me."

Jane frowned slightly, her thoughts momentarily on Thor. She missed him. "While I am very grateful that you came to my rescue, you don't need to worry about me. I don't want to be a bother."

"I'm okay with flying."
