This was what Erica needed to keep her temper in check. The gym could only work for so long and the longer she spent trapped on a train with people, she found simple things pissed her off. Normally, she could keep the temper in check, but the fact it had been a while from their last stop was making it harder to keep her attitude in check. For once she even tried what Lloyd told her to do, but she still found herself wanting to punch people. Maybe some of it had to do with the fact her roommate could read her mind causing Erica to think about everything pointless to her just in case the chick decided to listen in or she would pass out in other rooms. No way was she going to have someone listen in, find out her past, and cause her unable to keep with her lies. Every day since they landed in this hellish place, Erica had found herself going outside for target practice. Maybe by the end of this stop she would have worked out enough of her anger causing her to keep it in check while on the train for however long. People were bitching about how everyone should go with someone, but she knew how that could end. Someone could leave her as zombie bait for them to run away because they would assume she couldn’t take care of herself. Then she would save her own ass, get pissed, and go back to kill the person herself causing more problems. No, it was easier to watch her own back. Erica moved quicker than most that she ended up going off on her own. Stupid? Maybe, but she could hold her own. With two weapons on her, she figured maybe do something useful like a supply run before killing some of the zombies for the fun of it. Heading to where she knew some places were, she kept her attention focused on what was around her for any hint of movement. This was what her father trained her for. Maybe not the hunting zombies, but to keep alert for trouble because once her guard was down she could get a surprise that she wasn’t ready for. Erica wasn’t that far from the train, but she figured most people were on their own supply runs, using the zombies for target practice, or hiding on the train causing her to figure that she would be left alone. Then again Erica didn’t seem to always get her wish. |
