It had been his habit at every stop to flee the populated areas. He endured the train because he had no choice, and while he did pull his weight and do his part when requested, he preferred to leave and pretend he wasn't a kidnap victim on a crazy train. He'd promised Rogue he wouldn't be gone long, which was the only reason he was bad so soon. Four days hadn't really been enough time away, but he didn't want her to worry. He'd bumped into Lily on his way in, and she'd reported the adventures that had been had while he was gone -- everything from zombie autopsies to accidents to new arrivals and disappearances. In short, business as usual for a stop. She'd also insisted he eat, and since it was early, he thought he'd stay out in the public car and pretend he had a social bone in his body. He did want to check in on Rogue, but didn't want to wake her if she was sleeping. So he'd wait, or wander by the room and listen to see what he could hear. As he ate, settled comfortable in one of the sturdier chairs, Logan scrolled through the network to see if there was anything worth commenting to. There rarely was, and today proved no exception. Nothing of note for him to respond to. Tucking his phone back into his pocket, he devoted his attention to finishing the meal Lily had put out for him. |
